Is it really that violent?

[He winces. Maybe he was right about having to be more careful around everyone. He's not afraid to defend himself, or someone else, but his fighting experience boils down to one moment and a few tips shot his way here and there from his guardian. He's not a fighter, and even if he was, weapons aren't exactly easy to find. He'd rather avoid making enemies if possible.]

Let's just say they save most of their money in the special effects department.

[ Hook has no problem letting the new kids know that they need to be prepared for the worst. ]

There's something wrong with the person who thought this was a good idea. Or people.

The Warden and whoever she makes money for have little sense of moral code, as I've found most of those in power who claim to be moral don't. Personally, I choose to live by my own code.

They don't have to. They can do whatever they want. What's your code?

Then what does that tell you about what they want?

[ He won't answer about his personal code. Honestly, it's the pirates code + whatever he feels right at the time. ]

They don't want to help make anything better or else they wouldn't keep bringing people back to life to use them as entertainment. Or they'd at least share their knowledge with everyone else. And they don't care about your crimes either, do they? I guess they must be rich in order to run this place, but they must get some enjoyment out of it too, they'd probably do whatever they have to in order to keep this place in business.

And then people wonder why so many turn to crime when the only ones successful are those who squander and exploit everything around them.

Is that why you turned to rewarding life of crime? Because they do the same thing?

There's at least honor amongst thieves.

Can't argue with that! Most rules and laws and stuff, they're stupid. People shouldn't just follow them blindly.
