[She looks a bit groggy when the video turns on, though her voice doesn't seem to be bothered by it all.]

This is to the people running this place. I know you watch us, I know you have eyes on us somewhere. This collar, the stuff it does, you're only getting away with it because nobody outside of here knows but they will. You can't keep it a secret, people will find out and I'll make sure of it.

And about the nap? You can't keep me... chloroformed or whatever forever.

Not if we're smart about it. What happens to the people that die here? They have families, people'll question. They can't just kill us as easy as they pretend to, we don't exist in a void.

So, it'll be a smart rebellion. We'll be James Bond instead.

I take it you've yet to hear that death is not an issue here.

[ He smiles a bit at the James Bond reference, though it is quick to fade. ]

The difference between us and Bond is he has writers to pull the strings in his favor. What have we got?

Not an issue? Almost everybody is telling me I should start digging.

[Her hand comes up as she begins to tick it off, holding up a finger for every one she counted.] We have more people. We can make our own strings. I'm crazy good with computers. [She stops to think, mumbling to herself.] I was really hoping to use all my fingers there.

What I mean to say is that we can't die. Not permanently. At the first event two men were shot in the head and yet they awoke in their beds the next morning. It will never come to families questioning the death of those who are here because that death is only temporary. You say we are not in a void, but the truth is that we are and it is endless.

[ Sorry to rain on your parade, Skye. ]

Will those people agree with you? Will they be willing to risk themselves based on what you think may work? You seem to think this much simpler than it is.

[She almost bounds off the bed. Rather than rain on her parade, you may have just brought the biggest float.]

[ Loki was slightly taken aback by her reaction, but it was hardly a surprise. It seemed little could deter her ambition. ]

I have. One of the dead brought to life is an acquaintance of mine. He speaks little, but enough for me to know that the experience left him with naught but the occasional muscle ache.

Do you get what this means? [Don't worry, if you don't, she's about to tell you. If you do, she's about to tell you anyway.] THAT is what they're using to control us, this whole thing works on use singing and dancing for this medicine.

[Now that she's started, she doesn't seem to be stopping any time soon.] If we don't stay dead, they don't have anything. They can threaten to hurt us but they do that anyway. That's not even thinking about what this could do if it got outside. This could save lives and they're keeping it to make sure we do show tricks.

[She finally calms down, looking through the screen at him.]

[ Loki squints as she rattles on, though he is genuinely interested in what she has to say. her plan as it was would never work, but having someone around with such strong ambitions could be worth something. ]

Alas, you forget one thing. They don't have to bring us back. If by one faulty move they deem us more of a detriment than an an asset to their game we would be knocked off the board for good.

[ He paused. ]

Is it wise to be discussing this on an open connection?

If they do, I have people'll ask questions. Smart people.

[She goes to sit back down, crossing her legs beneath her.]

I'm not making plans here but I want them to know, I want them to know they're not getting away with it just like that. I'm going to make sure of it.

Let us hope it doesn't come to that extreme.

It sounds as though you've done this sort of thing before.

[She leans her head to the side, seemingly to convey that she doesn't want to brag but...]

Getting truth out there is kind of what I do, it's my thing. I usually don't do it like this but that doesn't mean we can't.

What about you? Are you up for it?

[ Interesting, interesting. ]

Me? I don't know what role I could ever play.

Hactivist. We have our own fancy word now.

Everybody can do something, trust me. More people working together can do a lot more than one person working alone.

[ If she truly had a plan in the works, it would be foolish to not investigate it. ]

[Happily, she shifts around on the bed.]

[ If Skye was a hactivist as she claimed, he almost hesitated to give his name. He had committed enough crime to put himself on the radar, and even with the false identities he had crafted there was always risk of someone knowing too much. Still, lying wasn't in the realm of possibilities. Too many people already knew him by his true name. ]

Whoa, slow down there, Cowboy. I'm all for meeting to mingle but I have to be careful with them right now, until I can figure out where their eyes are. Once I know, I'll clue you in.

[ "Cowboy"? There was a new one. ]

[She moves around, as if settling in.] Think of it this way. There's enough people in here that there's gotta be other skills we can use, everybody can bring something to the table.

[ If anything, he did have to admire her bold approach. It certainly wasn't his way of doing things. ]

[ Everything he was good at weren't particularly things you advertised. ]

[Everybody has a skill to use. Like she keeps saying, everybody has a piece of the puzzle to use.]

Well, so far, you're the only one who'll listen. It's good to know they don't have everybody so brainwashed.

[She thinks, looking at him critically.]

I used my skills to get in. What did you do? [Maybe that'll tell her more.]

It doesn't take skill to listen to someone speak.

[ He furrowed his eyebrows at her staring, though his expression quickly turned sober at her question. ]

Nothing so grand. I'm here only because I wished to protect someone else.

[ Too bad he couldn't tell her that his true skill was fabricating the truth. ]

It takes skill to listen. There's a difference, you know, between hearing and listening.

[She leans back now, kind of antsy on the bed.] Let me tell you a little secret. This working as a team thing? My team's usually faceless, or nameless, people. So, while I learn how to be a team player, I might ask you to protect someone else.

[See, using the skill you claimed to have!]

Goodness, I hadn't expected you to say something so wise.

[ He grinned, though rather his words had been sincere or not was anyone's guess.

At the mention of a secret, Loki leaned forward. There was no reason to do so, really, but she seemed to be eating up that he was interested in her ideas so there was no harm in emphasizing that fact. ]

Be that the case, then I may be able to help you.

[She raises an eyebrow as she tries to gauge how serious he is. Finally, she grins. Fine, he's playing along.]

Right now, she'll take it.]
