I guess I should introduce myself..

[ The girl who's voice is coming through sounds a little unsure, even through her Scottish accent. It is prison, it's not like she feels comfortable here and this definitely feels like it's a little excessive for grave-robbing. ]

My name is Lydia Carlton, from Edinburgh. In the interest of full disclosure, I'm here because I tried to help a man rob a grave to get something that belonged to me anyway. I don't actually talk to invisible creatures, that was just a rumor, and it's one that I'd prefer to put a stop to right here and now. Everyone talks to their cat from time to time, it's not as though I was expecting him to talk back..

[ Anyway-- something engaging, that's what needs to happen. She can't just say hi and expect to be friends with people. Even as socially problematic as her life was, she knows that you can't get without giving. ]

Since we're all probably a bunch of interesting people here, what's the strangest thing you've encountered before arriving in this prison?

He's not a talking cat. He's a normal, gray cat.

Just because you don't want to listen to him, doesn't mean he can't. That's terribly rude of you.

If he could talk I would know; he was my only friend for years. Admittedly, I did hope he would talk back at some point but it's hard to keep believing when he never does.

Maybe he was mute and you didn't learn sign language.

They don't have fingers, how would they be able to sign. Anyway, he was most certainly not mute. Even if he didn't speak English, he was one of the most vocal cats I've ever met.

Cats sign with their ears. Everyone knows this. Why didn't you learn cat then?

I'm afraid there aren't any classes or books for it in Scotland.

[ Her father's a professor, she would know. She didn't exactly try, but she knows there aren't and she's pretty sure this boy is just screwing with her. She's used to getting screwed with, her tone indicates it. ]

I would think Scotland would. That's odd. They have books on everything else.

And how many times have you been to Scotland?

[ Alas, Lydia has not met Rumplestiltskin. Either way, she sounds surprised. ]

Really? What part?

All the parts.

Then how come I've never seen you? I've been there my whole life until recently.

It's a big place and I don't live there.

Then you haven't traveled all the parts. I would've heard about it. Even if I wasn't the most popular person, gossip spreads fast. Any new people around would have caused quite a stir.

I'm very sneaky. I've only ever been caught once.

Caught doing what exactly?

Adventuring.

That's not something you'd need to worry about getting caught for, is it? Well, unless you're traveling without a passport.

I never did get one of those. [ YEAH THAT'S IT ]

They're not that hard to get, you know.

They are when you're a kid without proper identification.

Did you not have your parents?

[ That's something very important to Lydia. After all, her parents were basically the only ones who tended to take her side. ]
