I guess I should introduce myself..

[ The girl who's voice is coming through sounds a little unsure, even through her Scottish accent. It is prison, it's not like she feels comfortable here and this definitely feels like it's a little excessive for grave-robbing. ]

My name is Lydia Carlton, from Edinburgh. In the interest of full disclosure, I'm here because I tried to help a man rob a grave to get something that belonged to me anyway. I don't actually talk to invisible creatures, that was just a rumor, and it's one that I'd prefer to put a stop to right here and now. Everyone talks to their cat from time to time, it's not as though I was expecting him to talk back..

[ Anyway-- something engaging, that's what needs to happen. She can't just say hi and expect to be friends with people. Even as socially problematic as her life was, she knows that you can't get without giving. ]

Since we're all probably a bunch of interesting people here, what's the strangest thing you've encountered before arriving in this prison?

If he could talk I would know; he was my only friend for years. Admittedly, I did hope he would talk back at some point but it's hard to keep believing when he never does.

Having a cat is wonderful. I adopted a few little ones just recently.

Yes. Quite a surprise it was. The warden let animals loose for us to play with them. Those that were left were given to us.

Just let them loose? What if someone had gotten hurt?

I once met a man who looked just like his couch. Is that strange? I thought it was. Maybe not the strangest but right up there with the time I accidentally walked into the women's restroom and the only person there was an eighty year old man. Don't worry about that though, we're friends now. The couch fellow, that is. I don't know about the old man.

You probably should've called someone about the old man if he wasn't in a janitorial uniform. [ That sounds worrisome, to be frank. ] Did he purchase the couch because it looked like him or was it a coincidence?

[ It doesn't sound that strange to her, honestly, she's more curious about it than anything. ]

Oh, I did! He was gone when they got there though. Maybe he escaped through the plumbing...

You never quite know about Craig. I don't think he noticed until I pointed it out.

The plumbing? He must have been either very small or the plumbing must have been very large.

Sort of like pets and their owners, then?

There's a person that was said to be completely paralyzed from the neck down. They shouldn't have been able to recover from it--but somehow, they did.
