I guess I should introduce myself..

[ The girl who's voice is coming through sounds a little unsure, even through her Scottish accent. It is prison, it's not like she feels comfortable here and this definitely feels like it's a little excessive for grave-robbing. ]

My name is Lydia Carlton, from Edinburgh. In the interest of full disclosure, I'm here because I tried to help a man rob a grave to get something that belonged to me anyway. I don't actually talk to invisible creatures, that was just a rumor, and it's one that I'd prefer to put a stop to right here and now. Everyone talks to their cat from time to time, it's not as though I was expecting him to talk back..

[ Anyway-- something engaging, that's what needs to happen. She can't just say hi and expect to be friends with people. Even as socially problematic as her life was, she knows that you can't get without giving. ]

Since we're all probably a bunch of interesting people here, what's the strangest thing you've encountered before arriving in this prison?

Just like that! I think he would favor the couch over a pet, though. You mentioned a cat before. You must like cats, correct?

Well, if it was an older gentleman and the plumbing wasn't over-sized, perhaps he's cousin to Santa. [ She might be joking, but it doesn't sound like it somehow. ]

Yes, Nico has been my cat since I was about 10. We met while I was out and he followed me home, Dad let me keep him.

Goodness, I hadn't even thought of that. What an idea! That raises a whole new line of questions.

That's very cute. Sounds like he picked you out, eh? I've always been fond of cats myself. I didn't think I'd get to have one in prison, but it has been a pleasant upside.

Have you ever traveled outside of Scotland? Coming here doesn't count. I've always wanted to go there but haven't made it yet.

Yes, I've been to London once or twice with my family, then I traveled rather... unexpectedly just before ending up here.

London is fantastic, isn't it? Unexpected travel can be fun too. That's my favorite kind, actually.

It can be nice, yes. I prefer my home, but people are a little friendlier in London. I only go to visit my father nowadays. Well, went.

This sort of unexpected travel ended up with me here though, so it wasn't the good sort of unexpected this time.

Well, it was mostly scenery. We weren't there as tourists, after all.
