I must admit that prison is turning out to be a much more interesting place than I had expected. I can't say I'm enthusiastic about these brutal, sadistic public displays or the necessity to scrounge up money to keep myself alive on a weekly basis, but I suppose I'll have to tolerate it for the time being.

I am looking forward to learning more about prison life and survival. Does anybody have any tips?

"The time being" makes it sound like you're going to get out sooner rather than later. That's quite lucky all things considered.

I suppose you could say it is rather interesting around here though. I think my best advice would be to make friends. Just about everything is easier that way, don't you think?

Get at least two jobs right away, or you won't be able to afford a candy when yours runs out.

On the most basic level, you only need enough money for the candy. Aside from that, most other survival goals are secondary.
