[She looks a bit groggy when the video turns on, though her voice doesn't seem to be bothered by it all.]

This is to the people running this place. I know you watch us, I know you have eyes on us somewhere. This collar, the stuff it does, you're only getting away with it because nobody outside of here knows but they will. You can't keep it a secret, people will find out and I'll make sure of it.

And about the nap? You can't keep me... chloroformed or whatever forever.

Uh-huh. [Have the look that says she believes it. Or not.] New glass. Congratulations, your's isn't held together by duct tape anymore. Now, think about it. There's enough of us that we have to be able to outsmart them.

I've done...[She falters for just a second before finishing with the truth.] ...stuff like this before. People think money's a shield but everybody loves to find a bad guy. If we show them, they will jump on this.

If only it were so easy to give someone a new glass. There's enough of us that we could make a disaster. How do you even know you can trust half of these people?

[ rubbing his head. there's a pause like he's thinking and then- ] Alright so. How would you show them?

I don't. [Skye's not dumb enough to hop into a prison and pretend she can trust everybody. I mean, it's a prison.] So, I'm not going to be on a bus tomorrow. It'll take time but I'll find out who I can trust. Enough people can do it, I just have to find the right pieces.

Usually? It's not really that hard. All the people I busted had secrets they wanted to keep. When they couldn't, courtesy of moi, they went down. This place won't be any different.

Okay, enough dog analogies. This thing.. [She jerks at it.] is already degrading enough.

[ he goes to say something then stops and gives her a curious frown cause he got caught on the glass line for a moment. ] I guess... moving down to the new glass would make sense.

[ squinting at her. she's on to something and might have unintentionally gave him some kind of mental breakthrough. we're getting a little less pessimistic here and leaning forward with interest ]

But you went down with them. [ a vague hand motion. you're kind of in a prison, girl. ]

I went down with them but they went down. There's tons more that got taken down before this and people like me are still out there doing it.

You're really stuck on this animal, thing, huh? I wanted to go back to being people with ideas and opposable thumbs.

Oh, you can be a person, sure. I get a little stuck on occasion. Doesn't change the fact the place views us as the animals but we're definitely humans with thumbs, yes.

I know it will. Why's the only thing you seem sure of is that we have no chance here?

Two thumbs, lots of brain power, ideas. And a lot of other cool stuff about being human but my point is, we're not as easy to control as animals are.

Hey, I'm sorry. That's a pretty rough deal but you do realize we're alreay in pretty deep, right? Nothing's to stop them from killing us all when they're done. Getting out of here's our best chance.

[ bites his lip. thinking. thinking. plays with his device a moment then puts it back and folds his hands. ] What would you need? Theoretically. Obviously any plan would be a rough draft of a rough draft but...

[Give her a moment to stop looking surprised. She hadn't expected to see that in here.]

I need to know how they found out I was in their systems. Even if they have some kind of advanced technology, I don't buy they could track me without letting me know I was tracked.

[So maybe it's a bit too early to be telling her plan to somebody but he hadn't given in easy and maybe she's a sucker for his story.] So, if we can find out how they're tracking us here and disable it long enough for me to fully hack in, I think I could get news out. There's no way they have everything blocked off from the outside world.

[ surprise! ]

What if it's the collars? [ Speculation on his part but it would make sense, wouldn't it? ] I'll ask around...

You know what's not blocked off at all? The shows. They publicly air those.
