Requiem 001 - [ video + action ]
a. ) video
[ There's a new inmate around - a pretty girl that can't be out of middle school yet and stares at the feed for a long moment before speaking, probably unsure if it's on at all. ]
Pardon me just barging in to ask but, there's got to be a piano around here, right? It'll be a problem if there isn't one...
[ And that's apparently all she has to say, because the transmission ends. She doesn't seem to be particularly worried about the general situation. ]
b. ) action
[ There's someone sleeping in the common room - just on a chair, not even leaning forward to place her head on a table. Her newbie guidelines are lying in her lap. She's been there for a long amount of time now, dare to wake her? ]

[He'll take a seat next to Kanon, quietly watching her. Eventually, he gives her a gentle poke in the side.]
Hey, you okay?
no subject
Ah yes.... I just felt exhausted, looking around. This place is bigger than I thought.
no subject
[Okay, that was kind of creepy. Who wakes up like that? Red will just... ignore that for now, offering Kanon a smile instead.]
I'm new here too. Probably got here just before you did, actually, so I don't got it all figured out, but if y'need help I bet I can give you a hand.
no subject
Thank you for that... We'll have time to get used to it, at least. Lots of time, probably.
no subject
[It's not like Red trusts her entirely either, but it's not his style to go around accusing people. Unless she tries to shank him, he'll be friendly.]
So, uh... I got a question, but it might be kinda personal. What happened to get you put in this place? You don't hafta answer if you don't wanna.
no subject
I got kidnapped.
[ That's not... even half of the reason, but she hasn't told it to the police in its entirety and it'll probably take her some time to do so here ]
Now they think I have murdered a group of boys... I have not, however. How about you? If you want to tell.

[Red sighs, cradling his head in one hand as he prepares to speak.]
A buncha thugs shot out the tires on Da-- I mean, my motorbike. Me and my sister were both ridin', but she escaped the crash without much injury and I nearly died. All I remember is them closin' in on her, and then this big flash of light...
[He rests his head on his arms, letting out another frustrated sigh. Calm, Red, calm.]
The thugs died, and I got hauled off to court. I never touched those guys, but the judge said I was guilty of murder - not even self-defense, just murder. Next thing I know, I'm wakin' up in here. ...That's my story.
no subject
It's a sad story... The court system is not very fair.
[ Adults... People told her they weren't good for anything and with things like this wondering, she's vaguely concerned as well. ]
no subject
[He sits there for a minute, anger and despair clearly visible on his features, doing his best to calm down.]
Welcome to Deadman Wonderland, I guess. Enjoy your stay. It'll be the time of your life sentence. [Red chuckles, low and cynically.]
no subject
Hopefully we'll be fine if we stick to the rules and adapt.
[ Very encouraging. Settle down in prison. ]

That's sad... And I'll lose my skill, so it won't do....

What'd you reckon you'll do then?
.....was playing Air Piano ever invented?
[ Even she knows it's an awkward and useless invention though and she's going to have to think up something better. ]

[ She takes a breath as if to confirm it but then she just exhales without a word and shrugs. ]
That's too strange, isn't it?

What do you play?

I hope I can one day hear you play them.

So it can be bought?
[ Because she might just. save all her money for it, really. ]

[ And first and foremost she wonders about immaterial values now, because she's that kind of person. ]
But I don't need anything, I need just this thing, so I should be fine.

Isn't life a lot like that? You do what your parents say, what the school says, what's polite... That's how it happens. Choices are often reserved for heroic moments, like in a fairytale.
video;
[ There may have been a time when she was determined to take the easy way out of things, but.. realistically, she's been very bad at listening to what other people tell her, for better or worse. ]
One might say you just chose not to choose.

That's a very different kind of life.. It must be hard to be here then, now.

How far is that?

[ She smiles at that, like she's completely willing to kill someone if it's over her fiance but not if it's over a Klondike Bar ok. ]

But singing is still good.
