[As soon as it's 7:00 am, there is a loud beep that echoes through the corridors of the prison. It's time for an announcement as the intercom comes on.]

Good morning my wonderful criminals, how are you all feeling? Don't worry, I can assure you that dizzy spell will wear off as soon as you get up and stretch those legs of yours. Be careful of your collar as well, as you might have guessed it has all sorts of functions! Also, today is December 8th, Sunday, and it's currently 7 am.

Now, it would be in your best interest to read your manuals that we've given you, just so you can get nice and settled in.

I'm afraid it's a little cold outside, if you have time to check the courtyards then you'll most likely feel that winter's breeze on your rosy little cheeks! Do be careful, I don't want any of you getting frostbite on your first day, that would be tragic.

Since it's the grand opening for you new comers, we are currently holding a small party in the cafeteria! Grab your soon-to-be-friends and head on down. We have tables set up and food as well!

[With that being said, the doors to the cells now slide open, allowing the inmates to leave their rooms.

In the cafeteria majority of the tables have been cleared away, and the ones that remain have red tablecloths on them, nice and fancy! The spread consists of luxurious food, even sweets of all kinds. Since it's December, it seems that the warden is in a rather giving mood, aren't you all lucky! ]

[Well. That was a surprise. What was she expecting, really, though? This was prison--one of the toughest ones, at that. So of course her roommate would be tough as nails.]

You can have the top bunk. [The woman was older than her so that means she'll behave. A little bit. At least she's hot.]

I can look, right?

Of course, darling. [ Satisfied with the response, her expression turns to a bright smile rather quickly. ] It'd be a shame to not allow you to admire beauty when you see it. Look, but don't touch and we'll get along splendidly.

[She nods. She's quite bit older than her type... but Senjougahara was out of her reach now. The sudden thought makes her focus upwards as she lays on the bottom bunk.]

Sure. Not sure how long we're going to be able to stay in here anyway--what with those games and all.

I've every intention of returning here after each and every one of those games. The question is whether or not you intend to do that as well.

[ If she's agreeable as a roommate from here on out, at the very least Ana won't bother to intentionally eliminate her until she gives in. ]

Of course!

[That makes her sit up with a stretch. She confessed to the crime she committed. That didn't mean she was at peace with what she's done. Not yet. Her senpai must still hate her for what she's done--Kanbaru can't just give up until she at least gets the chance to apologize.]

I've got stuff I want to do on the outside. Can't give up until I finish that up. Besides, I'm still an athlete!

[ This line of inquiry is something that interests her, though it's not necessarily useful yet. ]

What sort?

Basketball. Was doing pretty well at it, too. Could have continued it through college if it wasn't for getting sent here.

[Beat. Oh. Probably should say something...]

Well that's useless. [ Anastasia turns to go see about checking around other areas that things might be hidden in, rolling her eyes just before the turn. The little crevices in the sink's workings, behind the toilet. There may be something hidden. It's unlikely, but anyone who wouldn't check would feel like more of an imbecile for not checking it and having something be there than checking it and not finding anything. ] Are you good for anything, darling? You can call me your Queen.

[Well. This is like out of one her BL books, really. Call me 'queen' and everything. If anything... well. That's actually kind of cool.]

Hey, basketball isn't useless! I'm pretty strong. [She gets up out of bed at least.] I'm good at plenty of things, Queen-san.

[There may be some sarcasm in calling her that, though.]

Many people are good at many things, but very few are very good at anything worth doing.

[ Being strong via a sport was likely something that wouldn't hold much advantage here. Prison was where a number of people with physical strength ended up. It wasn't as much of an edge as Anastasia desired in someone who she planned to boss around. ]

What are you doing anyway, Queen-san?

[At least sports was something! It kept her fit and her mind off things that... wouldn't be good to think about.]

Looking for dust?

[ She stands up straight when she asks, dusting her hands off on the side as she speaks. ]

Would you rather make a mistake in checking for hidden things or make a mistake in living right next to something very important and never knowing of it because you assumed it would be far too obvious if it were there?

[That's actually a very good question. She shrugs, rubbing the back of her neck.]

Dunno. I do know there's probably not like a secret door or anything.

I wasn't expecting anything like that. [ Her tone makes it sound like such a thing was just preposterous to suggest even for the idea of searching. Really? A secret door? If that had been the case there would've been reported cases of missing inmates. No, she wasn't looking for something quite so serendipitous. ]

An extra piece of candy to stop the poison, a hidden weapon, or even piece to a larger puzzle may be of value, though.

Oh--right. There might be a hidden stash in here.

[Oh. See the lights go on in Kanbaru's head? She's going to be looking under the bed now.]

Took you long enough to catch up.

[ If Kanbaru finds anything, of course, Anastasia has no problems taking a fee out for it being her idea. ]

Nothing under here, though.

[She sounds a just bit disappointed at that.]

Then get off the bed and help me check the rest of the cell.

[ It's an almost testy command when she says it, but Anastasia is not the most patient of people. ]

Hold your horses, Queen-san.

[She's getting up, sheesh. The old lady is testy.]

[ Don't tell her to hold her horses her horses will run your ass over if you don't move it. ]

The less time you spend helping the less likely I am to be concerned with anything you want.

[Fine, fine, she's getting up and starts looking a little faster.]
