Grand opening!

[As soon as it's 7:00 am, there is a loud beep that echoes through the corridors of the prison. It's time for an announcement as the intercom comes on.]

Good morning my wonderful criminals, how are you all feeling? Don't worry, I can assure you that dizzy spell will wear off as soon as you get up and stretch those legs of yours. Be careful of your collar as well, as you might have guessed it has all sorts of functions! Also, today is December 8th, Sunday, and it's currently 7 am.

Now, it would be in your best interest to read your manuals that we've given you, just so you can get nice and settled in.

I'm afraid it's a little cold outside, if you have time to check the courtyards then you'll most likely feel that winter's breeze on your rosy little cheeks! Do be careful, I don't want any of you getting frostbite on your first day, that would be tragic.

Since it's the grand opening for you new comers, we are currently holding a small party in the cafeteria! Grab your soon-to-be-friends and head on down. We have tables set up and food as well!

[With that being said, the doors to the cells now slide open, allowing the inmates to leave their rooms.

In the cafeteria majority of the tables have been cleared away, and the ones that remain have red tablecloths on them, nice and fancy! The spread consists of luxurious food, even sweets of all kinds. Since it's December, it seems that the warden is in a rather giving mood, aren't you all lucky! ]

[At the very least, Minako finishes swallowing what food she has in her mouth before talking. She might not be graceful, but she won't be rude at least.]

Haha, I guess not, huh? What can I say though, I like to eat!

[ Anastasia could say the same, but she knows far too well the value of food after spending quite some time nearly starving to death before her rise to power. ]

I can't imagine the pleasantries will last long, so I can hardly blame you.

I guess not. It doesn't seem like you could say much when you're introducing prisoners to their prison... [At the very least, she can't imagine she'd enjoy having a job like that.] Are you enjoying yourself with the food though?

[impureheart]

[ After you learn to appreciate food when you don't have it, of course Ana enjoys herself with the food. Any food, really. There was once a day when her face lit up over a stolen piece of bread. It doesn't quite taste the same nowadays considering the lack of certain company, but at the very least she can appreciate it. ]

There's a great deal that could've been said. It's the lack of any such things that I find most curious.

[While Minako can't say she's experienced anything even remotely similar, she's the type to take advantage of whatever opportunity comes her way. If there's practically a banquet presented of food, you can bet she's going to eat as much as she can.]

Really? [She takes another bite of her food.] What else do you think they could've said?

If the prisoners are the ones who feel like they have the power, then the prisoners lack one very important thing that they shouldn't if you want to punish them: Fear.

[evokes]

Fear, huh? [thoughtfully chewing her food...] I guess that makes sense when it comes to punishment, especially in a place like a prison.

[impureheart]

Do you see why I question the silver spoon treatment, darling?

Yeah, I think I'm starting to see it. Although... being suspicious is fine and all, but it's not like there's much we can do unless those suspicions are confirmed, right?

[impureheart]

We can be cautious. Letting your guard down is what lets all those people your parents warned you about in.

[ Like her, but let's not get into that just yet. ]

Well, I wouldn't say my parents warned me much about this. [She says it with a sort of lopsided smile though, as if she's telling a joke.] I'll keep the advice in mind though. I don't think I'd want to let my guard down in a place like this, but it's good to have a reminder.
