Grand opening!

[As soon as it's 7:00 am, there is a loud beep that echoes through the corridors of the prison. It's time for an announcement as the intercom comes on.]

Good morning my wonderful criminals, how are you all feeling? Don't worry, I can assure you that dizzy spell will wear off as soon as you get up and stretch those legs of yours. Be careful of your collar as well, as you might have guessed it has all sorts of functions! Also, today is December 8th, Sunday, and it's currently 7 am.

Now, it would be in your best interest to read your manuals that we've given you, just so you can get nice and settled in.

I'm afraid it's a little cold outside, if you have time to check the courtyards then you'll most likely feel that winter's breeze on your rosy little cheeks! Do be careful, I don't want any of you getting frostbite on your first day, that would be tragic.

Since it's the grand opening for you new comers, we are currently holding a small party in the cafeteria! Grab your soon-to-be-friends and head on down. We have tables set up and food as well!

[With that being said, the doors to the cells now slide open, allowing the inmates to leave their rooms.

In the cafeteria majority of the tables have been cleared away, and the ones that remain have red tablecloths on them, nice and fancy! The spread consists of luxurious food, even sweets of all kinds. Since it's December, it seems that the warden is in a rather giving mood, aren't you all lucky! ]

[ Shinjiro's still sitting off to the side the whole time, but he's watching and observing everyone else to make sure he knows who to avoid later on.. and it's because of that that he also notices this girl just standing there and throwing more and more food on her plate. Is this even healthy?? Sure, he knows some people can eat a lot, but that just doesn't look right for her kind of build..

He's at least holding himself back from coming over and saying something about it (this is a prison, dammit, he needs to remind himself of that) but he sure is staring.... ]

[Her stomach is actually a portal to the meat dimension it's the only way everything can fit... But mysteries aside, she notices him staring and momentarily stares back before breaking out into a friendly smile. Were you ready to deal with an energetic monster of an eater Shinji well IT'S TOO LATE YOU'RE DEALING WITH HER NOW.]

Oh, hi there. Is something the matter? [As she casually continues to pile food........]

[ HE'S NEVER READY TO DEAL WITH MINAKO I THOUGHT THIS WAS THE WHOLE DEAL IN CANON TOO... Or ready to deal with.. any social situations other than cuddling dogs on couches I guess.

For a moment he debates plainly ignoring her, but then he realises that'll look stupid too and might only make her harass him more, so after a moment he does slowly speak up. ] .. You're really gonna eat all that?

[Shinji you can't be a hobo in prison it's time for REAL social interaction!! At his question though, Minako simply nods like why WOULDN'T she eat it all.]

Yeah, of course! I wouldn't want to waste all this after getting it, y'know?

Eating the shit they give us is one thing, but you're not going to be able to finish half of that. [ Are those fighting words.. well, not on Shinjiro's side, he's just genuinely assuming she won't be able to finish that. ]

Yeah, of course. [ Apparently food is the only kind of serious business that can lure Shinjiro out of his shell, even just for a moment.. but he's made his mind up about this okay there's no way that's even possible. ] Are your eyes really that much bigger than your stomach?

I think you might be underestimating me! Haven't you heard that it's rude to make assumptions? [She says this jokingly though, smiling all the while. And at the very least she really is... still eating.....]

[ God, he isn't making any attempts to leave mostly since he has to see now how this is going to end, because no way he isn't right on this one, okay..!! ]

I'm just tellin' the truth. No way you can finish all of that. [ And getting a stomachace in a place like this is just a bad idea no matter how you view it, okay. ]

[The nicest totally...... BUT THAT'S NOT GONNA STOP HER FROM MAKING FRIENDS. She's raises her eyebrow just the slightest bit, like she's challenging him.]

Care to make a bet out of it? [things are about to get Dangerous.]

[ They're heading into the danger zone.... ]

What would you even wanna bet for it? This is prison, not like we have anything. [ And he's not the type to just try and steal CP from other people despite what he might be trying to act like. ]

We might not have much, but we have ourselves and time still! That's already a lot. For example, we could bet something like... "If I don't win, I have to spend the next three days as your gofer"! Something like that. [when something has a bad idea written all over it: the comment]

[moonsets]

[ It's not even written all over it anymore at this point, it's more like it has a gigantic neon sign hanging on it with that text..

Which is why he mostly just gives her an incredulous look. ]

What'd you need one of those for in this place?

I'm not really sure, but it's not as fun unless you make some kind of bet, right? [THAT'S YOUR ANSWER MINAKO?!]

He doesn't know how to deal with you at all girl and it's been literally five minutes at most, how, why this, why him.. ]

Uh-huh. So you're tellin' me they just dragged in a random bunch of people.

Maybe not random, but I'd be willing to bet it has to do more with people who don't stand a chance of being defended in a court of law. [She shrugs, smiling still but it's a bit wry unlike before.]

.. [ He scoffs. ]

Well, I could get that kind of explanation in some cases. [ Like his own. Who'd want to defend some street punk who's already committed a crime before..? ] But why wouldn't they defend normal kids?

[ Yes, that's the category he's placed her in mentally for now. ]

And who ever said I was normal? [MINAKO THAT'S NOT SOMETHING TO JUST SAY SO BLUNTLY... but that was how it was to her. Who'd be willing to take the time to defend some orphan kid when there were actual cases out there, right?]

You seem pretty normal to me.

[ Or at least, more normal than him.. even with prisoner clothes he still looks like a hobo with his kind of wild hair that doesn't look like it's seen a proper pair of scissors in quite a while. Minako looks like a pretty average girl though aside from some weird quirkiness in her personality. ]

They say that looks can be deceiving. [She lowers her voice a pitch like she's trying to be ~*SPOOKY*~ and ~*OMINOUS*~, but it's probably true after all, and for everyone at that. You never know what a person might be like just from how they look.]

[ He might have taken her seriously if it wasn't for that tone she's trying to use.. Minako, why do you do this. It's true that she's way over the top quirky, he's sure of that by now. ]

[ He's so unsure what to think of this girl. But it's not like that kind of story can actually be true - he's seen enough people who cheat others, and she doesn't exactly act like one of them. There's something too genuine about her. ]
