Grand opening!

[As soon as it's 7:00 am, there is a loud beep that echoes through the corridors of the prison. It's time for an announcement as the intercom comes on.]

Good morning my wonderful criminals, how are you all feeling? Don't worry, I can assure you that dizzy spell will wear off as soon as you get up and stretch those legs of yours. Be careful of your collar as well, as you might have guessed it has all sorts of functions! Also, today is December 8th, Sunday, and it's currently 7 am.

Now, it would be in your best interest to read your manuals that we've given you, just so you can get nice and settled in.

I'm afraid it's a little cold outside, if you have time to check the courtyards then you'll most likely feel that winter's breeze on your rosy little cheeks! Do be careful, I don't want any of you getting frostbite on your first day, that would be tragic.

Since it's the grand opening for you new comers, we are currently holding a small party in the cafeteria! Grab your soon-to-be-friends and head on down. We have tables set up and food as well!

[With that being said, the doors to the cells now slide open, allowing the inmates to leave their rooms.

In the cafeteria majority of the tables have been cleared away, and the ones that remain have red tablecloths on them, nice and fancy! The spread consists of luxurious food, even sweets of all kinds. Since it's December, it seems that the warden is in a rather giving mood, aren't you all lucky! ]

[ Anastasia's smile keeps up and she leans forward a bit too, like she's telling some kind of secret without lowering her voice. ] Anything's possible in Wonderland.

You don't know that. Everything might be perfectly aligned.

[ The smile that spreads on Peter's face looks like she told him the best news ever. ] You can't fail then.

Nothing to cheat at just yet or I would've done it myself.

The real fun begins when we figure out whether we're playing chess, checkers, or some other game.

Maybe I cheated by being here. [ Head tilt. ]

Or all of them.

Then you wanted to be in prison?

[ She can't tell exactly what he's playing at. After all, his motives to her-- at least from what she saw in his known crimes-- always seemed free, if nothing else. Wanting to be in a prison seemed the opposite of that. ]

Or something else entirely.

As opposed to a death sentence.

[ There it is. Cheating death. Get it? ]

As long as you can win it.

In that case most of us have been cheating since day one, darling. Hardly worth any bragging rights.

[ He gives her a grin then looks down, taping finger on the table ] If your clock is going to stop ticking, what do you do?

Am I in the place behind you?

[ You get it fixed or you get a new one. Of course.. clock or "ticker" is usually what an old man calls a heart. Not exactly an old man, but she has an inkling about what he means. ] Is your clock running out of batteries, Peter Pan?

Wouldn't you like to know.

Not anymore. Anything's possible in Wonderland, isn't it?

I think I might be in front of you.

Anything at all.

I think that depends on how generous our hosts are with wanting to fix broken things, don't you?

It does. I suppose we'll find out when everyone breaks.

Neverland? From the storybooks?

Well, should you end up with someone else's time, let's hope your spare parts come from someone who keeps them clean.

[ Wouldn't want any impurities now would we? ]

Of course.

Only the cleanest for me. I don't think anything less would be compatible.

Too bad it isn't or we could just imagine what we all need.

Then I've nothing to worry about if they're looking for spare parts from someone.

Such a shame. There would be as many fools around either.

Full of dirty parts, are we?

There will always be fools.

I wouldn't say dirty, darling, but I'd hardly call myself pure.

[amberalert]

Not in my world.

Then you're the fool of yours for believing such a thing.

[ Fools are good though. If you don't have fools, then who are you to take your anger out on? Who are you to boss around? Who are the ones you step on to get to the top? Fools are the ones who make the mistakes that make it possible to move forward when you're not one. ]

If I didn't I would've turned back to being a little mouse in the gutter a long time ago, darling.

[amberalert]

Well, we're not in my world so of course they're everywhere.

[ He gives her an expression that's slightly less than how amused he's been the entire time. Kill the fools. Someone can be less intelligent or act foolishly but a fool itself will make a fool of them all in his opinion. Useless wastes of space. ]

So you're happy with things. Current situation aside.

[impureheart]

I don't know that your world exists anymore, darling.

[ After all, whether he wanted to be here or not, those little collars made sure that even if they got out, they wouldn't be able to survive without candy collected here. Getting back to Peter's metaphorical world would be difficult in more ways than one, especially if his whole Lost Boys situation was diffused. ]

Of course. [ There's a smile on her lips but it doesn't reach her eyes. It looks almost perfectly crafted otherwise. ]

It does. I'll get back to it.

[ He folds his arms across his chest and leans back in his chair. He's confident. All but one might've ratted him out when he was caught and got a minor sentence bumped up to life (FOOLS) but he can replace them (NO FOOLS ALLOWED). All he has to do is figure out how to make the candy or remove the poison completely. Difficult but Peter Pan never fails. He'll just keep telling himself that until it's true. ]

[ He's staring at her face and he simply nods at her. ] Of course. Silly question. Are you married?

[impureheart]

[ Anastasia isn't sure if she believes him or not, so she simply let's that topic lie. If he wants to believe that his world can be reconstructed after this, let him. Anyone not a fool would've taken what they needed when they had the chance, not let Peter go around doing whatever he pleased with them. The Red Queen was fairly certain that Peter had a fairly different definition of "fool" than she did.

The new question, of course, was a bit of a surprise, but certainly not difficult to answer. ]
