As it seems the administration is at a loss as how to resolve even simple matters, I've had a touch of extra time this morning. As Miss Oswald is currently unable to perform the proposed duties, I would like to take a moment of your time to discuss the prospective book club that was mentioned on the network some time ago. In her stead I will be moving forward with the project, but would first like to take this opportunity to once again assess public interest.

[ Far be it from something as simple as a blackout to prevent Loki from continuing on with his daily schedule. He had made a quick stop to the gift shop for a flashlight, but as far as he was concerned that would be the only deviation from his work. It was strange, really, how he both loathed and found the smallest bit of solace in the predetermined. In many ways it seemed that keeping himself caught up in a routine was the only way he could avoid going mad. Too much time to think wasn't particularly ideal, especially with how much of it he had done earlier that day. His determination to form something as silly as a book club was idea born purely of sentiment, after all. In a way he hated how he clung to the idea, but he imagined he would only hate himself more if he were to give up on it. ]

[ The morning announcement is late today. Quite late, actually. The Ringleaders voice isn't heard until several hours into the morning. Surely the inmates have become restless, and not just because of the delay. The Ringleader's voice isn't quite as cheery as the day before. ]

Ah, good morning everyone! Well, today is the 28th of January. Sorry, but it's a Monday. That's kind of gross, huh?

I bet you're all wondering about why it's so dark. I probably shouldn't be very specific, but... the power went out! Oops! All the backup power is going somewhere important, but shh! Don't tell anyone I told you, okay? Everything will be back to normal by bedtime, but you'll have to use your communicators as flashlights until then. That might be cool at least! You can --

[ About then it sounds like someone else has entered the area. The awful voice in the background could easily be recognized as Irving's. He's quick to leave, but not before one of his horrible laughs is broadcast across the prison. The Ringleader springs back into action like nothing happened. ]

Everyone, good news! Irving-san has told me that flashlights will be 100% off today! How nice, huh? The dark might be scary, but we'll be looking out for you all, so don't worry~

It is January 26th today, and it seems as though the weather outside is picking up. There's a blizzard coming, so everyone should be staying indoors. You can leave if you want, but if you do you might freeze to death.

I didn't think I'd be transferred back in... but the Warden is a capricious woman and my sentence isn't short. [She gives a sigh...]

I was pretty worried about the people back in here, though. The events here are brutal. I can't say I missed them--um. I'm Mitsuki Hoyama.

[She touches her throat once more before lowering her hand.]

It's a little selfish but I was wondering if anyone ever managed to buy anything they used to own back. Yuu-kun--[Her gaze lowers.] He gave me something important before I was arrested. Last time I was here was pretty chaotic so I wasn't able to buy it back.

I-- I'm really sorry about all this, but if anybody could loan me some money, or buy me a candy, it'll be highly appreciated.

I know we're all upset by what's happened recently, but it isn't anything we haven't faced here before. The only difference is only the people with strange blood problems had to kill each other this time. Frankly, it seems a lot less dangerous than the Battle Royale. At least no one was required to kill each other this time.

Anyway: In light of the fact that fighting each other clearly isn't a one-off experience, I'd like to remind everyone that I'm willing to train people in fencing for a nominal fee. Free-style fighting might be effective with a bit of luck, but if you actually know what you're doing, you're going to stand a much better chance during events.

[ Weiss stared at her communication device for a moment after she made her post. After everything that had happened, she didn't exactly.. feel good about it. But she couldn't stop and freak out every time someone in this place, self included, did something bad anymore. That wasn't a luxury that anyone who actually wanted to survive in one piece here had. And making money off of a desire to not die seemed just as bad, but if she could get enough people to agree there was a chance that she could up her income to a point that she wouldn't have to hurt other people too badly during events that she wasn't participating in just to survive. It was worth a stab in the dark to not have to stab people in the dark (as often).

Sighing, she put it away and stared out at the pool from the Lifeguard chair. It was still chilly and it seemed like the pool had low attendance for that reason, but every once in a while people came in. It was heated, after all, and this was certainly a less involved job than her previous position as a groundskeeper. Weiss played with one of the frills on her swimsuit to make sure it was aligned perfectly with the rest of them, then hopped down off of the chair to go put her feet in the water. No one was in there at the moment anyway, might as well get her feet wet while she waited. ]

[ Right when the matches start, Rei decides to secretly start typing this message in for all to see. Might as well make idle conversation while they're running. She's already got the popcorn ready for this, after all. ]

And so it begins again.

It is actually quite amusing to see these "Deadmen" continuously fight over the prize and show their true colors. Of course, those are not the only people who have revealed themselves and their intents throughout the course of this tournament. Although I personally have nothing to lose or gain by participating in this tournament by any means, I'm still quite curious. After all, it is the semi-finals.

So who are you all cheering for? I want to see who's cared about the most in this game. After all, seeing a loved one get hurt in front of your eyes is quite the painful sight. It's rather sad, isn't it... That you cannot do anything to change that.

Of course, any other thoughts on the previous matches are welcome as well. It's quite boring to just simply sit around and just watch, after all. And if you wish to stay anonymous, I won't mind. I'd rather see your true colors than see a lie in reply.
