Hello my lovelies~ it's been a while since I last spoke with you all, hm? Well well~ I can assure you all, I've been here simply watching everyone, but of course!

And you know, I'm so proud of you all! Especially those winners, and we'll soon have the finals underway here tonight! Ah but you see... for those losers, I haven't forgotten about you yet! You're in for a real treat! Now the finals are as follows:

Good morning, sleepy heads. [ It's said with a yawn. Apparently this was another one of those days where she didn't actually want to be awake and doing the announcements. Who was really the sleepy head here? ]

It was nice meeting some of you at the event. Sorry that it had to go that way for a lot of you, but at least you got some CP. Which is pretty good for you, considering the news I have today.

Well, let's start with the obvious first. It's 7:14am on Sunday, January 12th, 2024-- no, 2025.

[ The sound pulls back a little. Yes, right in the middle of the announcement. Her chair makes a little creaking noise as she leans back in it in a way that the chair is probably not meant to lean back. ] Bro, did I date those papers wrong yesterday?

Hm? [The Director makes a sound in response to her, then shrugs.] ...You must have. I suppose I can go track them down. [And he simply sighs after that, leaving the room.]

Thaaaaanks. [ She calls out as he leaves the room, then apparently remembers she was on the announcements right now. The chair slams down onto the ground, obviously on all fours again. ] Oh-

Onto the news I was talking about: Due to a recent string of thefts, violence, and other unacceptable behavior between inmates, all of your CP accounts are being reset to make up for the difference. We considered only doing it to those specific people who have committed the crimes, but this should act as a warning and an incentive to stop those around you from committing crimes as well. Your CP accounts will start at 100,000CP plus whatever you won in the last event. So if you managed to win 80,000CP, you will have 180,000CP in your account. I hope you all did well, but everyone will be able to afford at least one candy to start.

[ She pauses for a moments, her fingers lightly tapping on the mic for the announcements as she thinks, creating a light 'pff pff' sound until she speaks up again. ]

Oh, the other thing- all of your candies have been confiscated. The doctor changed the dosage, so all new candies will last 3 days now to encourage further voluntary participation in events. The poison in your collars was temporarily adjusted to use up the antidote more quickly so everyone starts at the same point. Additionally, if for whatever reason you manage to hide one of your old candies, there's an ingredient in the current ones that won't mix well with the old dosage. It'll make you sick enough to wish you were dead. Don't do it if you know what's good for you.

Don't kill the messenger. [ even though some of it was her suggestion, but she'll pretend it wasn't to avoid complaints ] I'm just doing my job, so if you all follow the rules then I don't have to give you bad news. I'll try to answer questions if you have any, but don't be rude.

[ She's a little more awake than she was the last time she did the morning announcements, but she's making one of those morning stretch groans for a couple of seconds. ]

It's 7:01AM on January 8th. The weather seems to be clearing up today, but I was watching the news last night and it said it was supposed to pour in the evening. I don't think you guys can have umbrellas since you can sharpen them into shivs, so wear a hoodie if you go outside later. I put them 65% off.

[ There's a small chirp, as from some kind of bird, then the announcement goes off. ]

[ The words are spoken as though she's trying to stifle a yawn herself at this fine 7am. ]

It's Monday, January 6th, and it looks like it's going to be raining today. Try to avoid any tragedies or drama, the whole thing would be too cliche at this point. At least it's just rain, right? Maybe you should go purchase a coat from the gift shop and put some of that CP to use so you don't catch a cold, it's still pretty chilly out. Wouldn't want any of you inmates to get sick with how antsy I'm sure the doctor has been lately.

[ She didn't bother to check, but it's been a few days since anyone's gotten really hurt, hasn't it? ]

Your President needs something to help me wake up this morning and tea doesn't want to do it so I'll give a CP prize to whoever can answer a question of mine with an entertaining answer: What is the one thing you want to change most about this world? If you say this prison, I'll take away points because that's a really boring answer.

[ Basically, the more entertaining she finds the answer, the more CP she might throw out. ]

[and this time when the intercom turns on at 7 am, the warden has a little announcement to make.]

Morning morning, hello everyone! I want you all to be awake and alert for this, because this is big big news~! Today is January 5th by the way, don't forget that!

Now then, on to the grand surprise. As I mentioned before we needed a bit more help around here. So! My cousins have returned to Japan and have agreed to help me on this wonderful journey. Say hello you two~!

[the warden claps, allowing the two in question to speak up-]

Hello. I do hope we will all get along, I'm looking forward to it. I'm known as the Director. And my sister is-

The President. Don't judge us too harshly, we don't want to have to put anyone in time out. Let's all be friends, okay?

A far better name than something like "Second," isn't it? From the sounds of things he wasn't running anything properly to begin with, giving into bribes and playing with the inmates inappropriately... The Warden's probably the only reason this place is still standing with how that was going.

[ Her tone changes as she draws her attention away from her brother and back to the broadcast. ]

Don't worry, inmates. We'll do a much better job than he did to make your stays at Deadman Wonderland how they should be.

[oho! the warden laughed at that.]

Aren't you two just a couple of cards. Now then, hope you all enjoy the new management!

[and the intercom turns off and the cell doors slide open.]
